I know I’m super late to the game here, but I’ve been on a Lord Huron kick lately. Been sprinkling in a few tunes during cocktails and dinner, and this one is liable to give people goosebumps in the right setting.

Throw your headphones on and let the music take you away…

Style Matters works loads of events outside of Chicago. This past Saturday, John and Matt were in Delton Michigan. They ended up getting a hotel that night because the party went much later than the couple had anticipated.

Seems to be happening quite a bit these days.

I had a unique opportunity to play three parties within 24 hours this past weekend and here’s how it went down:

1am-3am at a festival in the Catskills of New York
11am-3pm at a block party in Lincoln Park
6pm-12am at a wedding at A New Leaf

Needless to say, I didn’t get off the couch on Sunday. This is just a small reminder about how hard we work, and how much we love our job. Oh, and despite the fact that we had 22 other weddings over the weekend, my back up guys were on standby and ready to go at the drop of a dime if I needed them.

Every day we hustlin’.

PS – For the record, the picture of the flower girls dancing was snapped when the adults were eating dinner. About 30 minutes after this was taken, it was dance floor tomfoolery.

This one is pretty simple, folks. A proper venue will allow you to dim the lights nice and low. Not only is it much more romantic, but it will induce a stronger party vibe during dancing.

You’ll also be doing the world a favor by saving electricity.

Bethany and I have a huge show coming up on October 11th when we’ll be headlining The Metro. We decided to put a little contest together for DJs interested in getting on the bill.

Tell a friend.

I’m not sure how we pulled it off, but we just wrapped up our busiest weekend in company history: 26 Style Matters weddings and 3 Orchard Lounge gigs.

Actually, I do know how we pulled it off: a strong collective work ethic.

Now, we relax…
