Jonathan Marks’ journey in music began at the age of 5 when he received a blue-sparkled Rogers drum kit as a Christmas present. Through drumming, he garnered a passion for all genres of music from rock to soul to jazz to electronic, which eventually blossomed into an obsession with DJ culture. After purchasing turntables in high school, the path to a professional DJ career was laid, coming to fruition in 2005 when Jonathan moved to Chicago.
Jonathan has toured throughout the US and Europe under the moniker Rogue Vogue, a House music production project, for which he has released a number of original tracks and remixes on such renowned labels as Big Beat Records, DeepNDisco, and French Express. He has held the chair of resident DJ at some of Chicago’s most popular and exclusive nightlife venues, including the W Hotels, Soho House, and Disco. When not DJ‘ing and producing, Jonathan co-leads and plays drums for Chicago electro-pop groups Monakr and Hey Champ, while working as an in-demand session drummer and percussionist throughout Chicago and abroad.
